The journey has come to an end and we have managed to raise nearly £17,000 for the Eden Valley Hospice. A little short of our initial target, but still an amazing effort by all concerned. Well done! Firstly a great big thank you to all who pledged money towards this great cause. The money you pledged will go such a long way in helping children and their families who will be within the Hospice this year and next.

After heading off from Carlisle United Football Club on the 3rd May 2008. We drove down to Dover to get the ferry over to France. Where the Cycling began in Calais early Sunday morning.
The Cycle ride took us from Calais south to Montpelier a cycle journey of around 685 miles. We managed to complete this in just under 5 days (in pretty hot conditions). Most days we were on the bikes from 7.30am till around 7.00pm at night, so it was tough going.
Some days were hard, but thought of what and who we were doing this for allowed us to forget about the pain of the next steep hill in front of us and just keep going, dig deep and complete the days task of around cycling on average 125 miles.
Once again, thank you all so much for all the support and money you have all raised and who knows, we may even don the lycra next year for another trip to raise money for another great cause.
