Our Objectives

The Children's Unit at Eden Valley Hospice
Roxanne Palette shows her support
As you may or may not be aware the Eden Valley Hospice need around £1.5 million per year (£4,500 per day) to keep the Hospice running at a quality level.

Our aim is to assist in the treatment and care of children and families suffering from life-limiting illnesses, by the provision of fianncial assistance, equipment, facilities, services and other support.

We are hoping to raise over £45,000 (the cost of running the Hospice for 10 days). Which is why we are appealing to your generous nature. We would be extremely grateful of any contributions that you could donate to this very worthy cause. A number of local businesses have already pledged their time and money to supply the bikes, transport, food and accommodation throughout our journey, to which we are completely overwhelmed and thank them all.

The Route

The Route
Heading off from Carlisle Utd football ground (Brunton Park) on May 3rd 2008 (the last home game of the season) at Half-Time to say Aurevoir to family, friends and thousands of supporters, we will head down to the south coast of England taking a ferry to Calais where the real hard journey begins. We will proceed to cycle from Calais, down through France to Montpelleir on the South Coast.

A distance of over 1,000 km (approx 700 miles). We are aiming to complete this in a gruelling 7 days averaging 100 miles per day. Ouch!! I hear you cry.
